We host a group of Harding University students from Arkansas each year, in an effort to reach out to the community, and have been successful in encouraging youth to devote themselves to God. The church has letterboxed extensively in the Redlands area and have found a good response to our offer of free Bible Correspondence Courses. Each alternate year, Harding University conducts and three-month study course for up to 50 students in Cleveland. The church benefits through the input of these young adults as well as by the mature teaching of the accompanying faculty members.

The Nerang congregation came into existence in 1969, when Forest Suddeath and others moved into the area from the United States. Also, in 1970 Clyde Baggett, a vocational missionary, moved to Nerang to assist those already working in the Gold Coast region. In regular attendance the adults number 15. Gold Coast being a vacation destination that number often increases dramatically. The Congregation has enjoyed doctrinal stability for many years now. There are no full time workers. The church is actively involved in a video distribution tape ministry, the tapes being taken from the “Truth in Love” TV Programs and the “We Care Ministries” videos by Larry both of the United States. These tapes have been requested and sent to all parts of Australia and are excellent teaching tools for class, shut-ins or personal study. These are available by contacting Brother Baggett on (07) 5532 8464, or writing to the Church's mailing address. The Congregation is also involved in a monthly letter boxing program of approximately 1,000 homes in the Southport area. Several of the members on a Wednesday (fortnightly) meet for an hour to watch and discuss one of the Truth in Love programs and share a meal together.
